Application and use
HERMAsilphie (341) is made from approx. 35 % silphie fibre and 65 % recycled fibre. With its special look and feel, the material creates an authentic natural impression.
The silphie fibres, which replace the short-fibre pulp in the paper, come from the regionally grown, annual Danube silphie plant, which is primarily cultivated as an energy crop. The dual use of the silphia plant as a raw material for paper production and as an energy crop in biogas plants makes the paper an exceptionally sustainable product.
HERMAsilphie (341) can be printed very well using offset and flexographic printing as well as digital printing processes. The coulour of this ecological, sustainable product denpends on the raw material used and can therefore vary from batch to batch. Due to the inherent colouration of the paper, the use of opaque white is recommended for light colours. Preliminary tests are recommended.
